Privacy Policy

What We Collect

JAIL collects minimal data to operate the service:

• Search queries — logged for performance monitoring. Not tied to individual users.
• Payment information — processed by Creem (our payment provider). We never see or store your card details.
• Email address — only if you sign up for Pro, used for account management and receipts.

What We Don't Collect

• No tracking cookies
• No analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, nothing)
• No personal data from search results
• No IP address logging

Third Parties

Creem (creem.io) processes payments as our Merchant of Record. They handle tax compliance, billing, and payouts. See Creem's privacy policy.

Open Source

JAIL's source code is Apache 2.0 licensed. The CLI runs entirely locally — your searches never leave your machine when using the CLI.

Data Retention

Server logs are rotated and deleted after 30 days. We don't build user profiles or sell data.
